Earlier this year the World Economic Forum launched a challenge to identify investment funds seeking to impact at least one the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Today in New York as part of the WEF’s Sustainable Development Impact Summit, 2150 was announced as one of the winners of the competition highlighting investors that seek to “mobilize capital for people and planet.”
We launched 2150 to scale technologies that could have an immediate and meaningful impact on the broad urban environment and as our first Impact Report proves, despite the nascent stage of many of our portfolio companies, we are already having material impact on CO2 emissions, air pollution and biodiversity.
We are thankful to the World Economic Forum for this recognition of our mission and our efforts, and if anything it enthuses us even further to continue seeking to identify the planets’ greatest challenges and backing the technologies and science to address them.
With honest humility from the whole 2150 team… thank you to the WEF for the recognition of our efforts.
